Troubleshooting

VoIP can sound excellent — but if your network is busy, you may notice choppy audio, delays, or one‑way sound. The good news: most issues have quick fixes.

1) Choppy audio or “robot voice”

  • Use Ethernet instead of Wi‑Fi for the adapter
  • Restart modem/router (quick reset)
  • Pause heavy uploads (cloud backups, big file uploads)

2) Echo

  • Lower handset volume slightly
  • Try a different handset
  • Ensure good quality cables and connections

3) One-way audio

This is often caused by router/NAT settings.

  • Restart the adapter and router
  • Ensure SIP/VoIP is not being blocked by firewall rules
  • Ask support to check NAT / SIP keep-alives

4) Delay (latency)

  • Check your upload speed (VoIP needs stable upload)
  • Enable QoS on your router for VoIP traffic
  • Avoid Wi‑Fi repeaters/extenders for VoIP devices
Fastest improvement Connect your VoIP adapter by Ethernet and keep it close to the router. This alone fixes most call quality complaints.
